Do you know the word “varve”? Many people don’t know. However, varve is significant discovery in global research.
Varve is the mud layers that helps age determination. Lake Suigetsu, the one of the Mikata Five Lakes, is the famous for varve in geology or other fields. In this museum, you can see the real model. The length is 45m and shows history for 70,000 years! It sounds amazing.
